So, shall we make this thing happen?
Our journey as entrepreneurs began before Bare Studio, first running a mobile bar and then opening a bottle shop together (yep, we’re beer fans).
Jules had worked in a design agency for most of her career before that. She continued to take on freelance gigs on the side of our booze businesses and at the same time, Mike uncovered a love and talent for web and digital design.
After a few years of really getting to know ourselves as business owners, we decided that we really wanted to go all-in on our design work – and so Bare Studio was born.
This time though, we decided we’d run our business differently, prioritising freedom and passion over fixed locations and long hours.
Nowadays we work with great people doing great things. We get to choose our schedule so we can spend time doing other stuff that makes us happy too, like travelling, sailing and adventuring in the great outdoors with our fur baby Bruce!
We find heaps of creative inspiration in nature everyday. And the best bit…we get to help other business owners to live and work in this way too.

We’re the proud owners of Mountain Breeze, our dutch built Compromis yacht. We spend many weekends (or sometimes weeks) onboard with Bruce, often designing as we go – and we enjoy it so much that our long term goal is to trade our home and studio on land for a more permanent studio on the water! We’re so thankful that the digital world allows us to work this way and stay connected and committed to our clients.
